About Me
I am the Creative Director of Multimedia for a mid size design studio in Washington, DC. I oversee production on a wide range of video and multimedia projects, serving as the liaison between clients, creative and technical staff, and management. I am highly organized, good at understanding client needs, and driven by learning new skills.
My background is in graphic design with a focus on web and interactive multimedia. I have a Fine Arts degree in Imaging and Digital Art from UMBC and over eight years professional experience. I have worked in the past as a graphic designer and web developer, and have enjoyed taking on video production in my current role. I take pride in bringing a project from concept to completion and enjoy putting together the right team of internal and external creative resources to achieve the best results for clients.
Work History
I came to work with my current employer in 2003 as a graphic designer. From 2003-2006, I designed websites, motion graphics, publications, posters, and identity systems for the United States Intelligence Community. My creative talent and strong leadership skills made me an ideal candidate for a promotion to Creative Director of Multimedia in 2006.
From 2002-2003, I worked as a Web Developer for the Council for Exceptional Children in Arlington, VA. During my time with CEC, I built an on-line version of their monthly publication with a php-driven content management system. This enabled the publications staff to post new content and users to view and search complete archives.
From 2000-2002, I worked as a Junior Web Developer at Commerce One in Columbia, MD. During my time there I worked as part of a team to develop an on-line media management system for photos, artwork, music, and video to be used in web projects for clients.
I have also done freelance work for a number of clients including, the Federal Railroad Administration, ENSCO Inc., Catalyst Concepts, Ultima Medical & Aesthetics, Briggs Chaney Medical Center, and Excelerated Learning Systems.
